東京大学法学部卒業後、1998年に弁護士登録。森・濱田・松本法律事務所にてインターネット関連法務（知的財産・プライバシー・競争法など）を専門とし、2008年にパートナーに就任。Chambers Global・Chambers Asia・Best Lawyers Japanなど国内外で15以上の個人賞を受賞。

Admitted to the Japanese bar in 1998 following graduation from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law. Joined Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, where she specialized in internet-related legal matters including intellectual property, privacy, and competition law, becoming a Partner in 2008. Recognized with over 15 individual awards from Chambers Global, Chambers Asia, and Best Lawyers Japan.

2006年、スタンフォード・ロースクールにてローレンス・レッシグ教授の指導のもと法学博士（J.S.D.）を取得。論文テーマは日米のデジタル時代における著作権政策の最適化。

In 2006, earned a J.S.D. from Stanford Law School under the supervision of Professor Lawrence Lessig, with a dissertation on optimal copyright policy in the digital era across the U.S. and Japan.

2013年よりグーグル合同会社　統括執行役員法務本部長として12年間、日本におけるすべてのGoogle製品の法務を統括。AI製品・機能のローンチ対応、Googleの主要なプロダクト（検索、広告、YouTube、Android、Play、Cloudなど）の新機能に関する法務戦略や規制対応の責任者として日本のマーケットに関する法的アドバイスや訴訟等の紛争対応の責任者を務める。プラットフォームにまつわる様々な政策議論にも貢献。2023年及び2025年、Legal 500 GC Power Listに選出。

From 2013, served for 12 years as Executive Officer and Head of Legal at Google Japan GK, overseeing all legal operations across Google's Japanese product portfolio — including Search, Advertising, YouTube, Android, Play, and Cloud. Responsible for legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution including litigation for the Japanese market. Also contributed actively to policy discussions around platform regulation. Named to the Legal 500 GC Power List in 2023 and 2025.

2022年よりAstroscale Inc. の社外取締役（IPOプロセスを含む）。2026年4月より東京大学の法・政治デザインセンター客員教授としてAIと法に関する講義や研究に従事。2025年、カリフォルニア州司法試験合格。

Since 2022, has served as an external board member of Astroscale Inc., a global leader in space sustainability, through its IPO process. From April 2026, serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Tokyo Center for Law and Political Design, engaged in teaching and research on AI and law. Passed the California Bar in 2025.

Creative Commons Japan 専務理事（2006年〜）。経済産業省・文化庁・総務省など複数の政府委員会委員を歴任。著書に『デジタル時代の著作権』（筑摩書房、2010年）ほか多数。

Executive Director of Creative Commons Japan since 2006. Has served on numerous government advisory committees under METI, the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Author of Copyright in the Era of Digital Technology (Chikumashobo, 2010), among other publications.
